We collect only what we need to serve you, we tell you plainly what we do with it, and we never sell.

1. Who we are

The House of LIONHEART is a trading name of REPENT LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15298520, whose registered office is at 33 The Valls, Bradley Stoke, Bristol, BS328AW. For the purposes of UK data protection law, REPENT LTD is the “data controller” for the personal data described in this policy — meaning we decide how and why it is used.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration number ZC194043

2. What data we collect

We collect only the data needed to run the store and serve you:

—Identity and contact data — your name, email address, delivery and billing address,

and phone number if you give it.

—Order data — the products you buy, your order history, and correspondence about

your orders.

—Payment data — your card payment is processed securely by our payment provider

(see section 5). We do not see or store your full card details.

—Marketing data— your email address and preferences if you join our founding list, and

whether you open or click our emails.

—Technical data — basic information your browser provides when you visit — such as

device type and approximate location — collected through our store platform to keep

the site working and secure.

We do not collect special category data (such as health, race, religion or sexuality), and our store is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

3. How we collect it

We collect data directly from you — when you place an order, join our founding list, or contact us — and automatically through our store platform when you browse (basic technical data needed to run the site). We do not run third-party advertising trackers or analytics pixels at this time.

4. Why we use it, and our legal basis

Under UK data protection law we may only use your data where we have a lawful basis.

Ours are:

—To fulfil your order (contract) — processing your purchase, taking payment, and

arranging production and delivery. Without this data we cannot supply your order.

—To send you our founding-list emails (consent) — only if you have opted in. You can

withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

—To run and protect our business (legitimate interests — keeping records, responding

to your enquiries, preventing fraud, and improving our store — balanced so as not to

override your rights.

—To meet legal obligations — such as tax, accounting and consumer-law requirements.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the store, and only so they can perform their role for us:

—Shopify — our store and checkout platform, and (through Shopify Payments) our

payment processor. It handles your order, contact and payment data.

—Mailchimp — our email provider, which sends our founding-list emails if you have

opted in. It processes your email address and engagement data.

—Our production and delivery partners — we pass your name and delivery address to

the partner that produces your order (currently Gelato) and to the carrier that delivers

it, so your order can reach you.

—Professional and legal recipients — our accountants, and authorities or advisers where we are legally required to share data or need to protect our legal interests.

We require every provider to protect your data, use it only on our instructions, and never for their own purposes. Each also acts under its own privacy policy for data it controls.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers may process data outside the UK (for example, Shopify, Mailchimp or a regional production facility). Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law — such as transfers to countries with UK “adequacy” status, or approved contractual protections — so your data receives equivalent protection.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purpose we collected it, including to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Order and transaction records are kept for the period required by law (generally six years for tax purposes). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a minimal record of your preference so we do not contact you again.

8. How we protect it

We use appropriate measures to keep your data secure, and our providers operate their own security controls. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, so while we protect your data with care, we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us, and any transmission is at your own risk.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

—access the personal data we hold about you;

—have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;

—have your data erased, where there is no lawful reason for us to keep it;

—object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data;

—ask us to transfer your data to another provider, where technically feasible; and

—withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these, email hello@houseoflionheart.co.uk. We may ask you to verify your identity, and we will respond within one month. You will not usually be charged.

10. Cookies

Our store uses only the essential cookies needed to make it work — for example, to keep items in your basket and to keep the site secure. We do not currently use advertising or analytics tracking cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first at

hello@houseoflionheart.co.uk so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The version shown on our website is the current one, and we will post any changes here.
